EVERETT, WA - Boeing and Silk Way Airlines today celebrated the delivery of the airline's two 747-8 Freighters. The first airplane delivered last week and the second airplane delivered today. SilkAir, the regional subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, is planning to offer a three times weekly service between Singapore and Kalibo beginning in May of this year. The new service would make Kalibo SilkAir's third destination in the Philippines after and ultimately air services, of other regions. The so-called "Silk Road" plan focuses on areas outside of China's eastern coast that has seen strong economic growth.
